Text: Matthew 7:7–12
Key Verse: Matthew 7:11 - If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Sermon Snapshot: How much more! With this memorable analogy of an earthly father’s love, Jesus teaches us that we can expect an answer not because of the form, technique or intensity that we use but because of the character of the God that we are praying to.

Sermon: Let The Judge Of All The Earth Do The Judging
Text: Matthew 7:1–6
Key Verse: Matthew 7:2 - For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
My world often reminds me that Jesus said, “Do not judge.” But what if the world is using the words of Jesus while completely missing the meaning of Jesus? Could there be a difference between hurling condemnation on others and receiving wisdom for ourselves in order to avoid harmful consequences?

Key Verse: Matthew 6:8–9 - Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, . . .
We all learn and use a prayer form that is often called "The Lord's Prayer." The words and form have been given by Jesus to his people across time and cultures. What we can not forget though is this: Jesus gives this form to people He has first invited into relationship with His Father through his grace: "Because you are His deeply-loved, fully-adopted children, you can pray in ways like this!"
