This week at Fusion:
Faithful King
Matthew 21: 1-17
This week, we begin our Holy Week journey by remembering Jesus' Triumphal Entry from Matthew 21: 1-17. Generations after the people of Israel settled in the promised land, they asked for a King to lead them, but their fragile faith eventually led to their own exile. During the exile, the promise of a coming Messiah King was remembered but not realized until Jesus rode into Jerusalem publicly announcing that he was this expected King. We will explore how the reality of Jesus did not fit the people's expectations of their Messiah King. What did this mean for them? What does this mean for us? Join us as we explore together.

Celebration Afterthought
Join Pastor Bill in the Room 21 of the Lower Level for a sermon discussion each Sunday following the Celebration service.
Any question is fair game, but growing out of this Sermon we can start with:
Consider these statements from today's sermon:
Jesus seems to say to all those around him that
You Can CROWN Me & FOLLOW, Or You Can KILL Me
But You Won’t USE Me For Your OWN AGENDA
When Jesus Becomes KING, Earthly Authorities Become STEWARDS
Also:
Have you seen the new series "House of David" streaming on Prime? What did you think?
How can we be praying and planning to welcome well Easter Service visitors next week?

This week at Watershed:
The Faithful King
Matthew 21:1-17
On Palm Sunday Jesus enters Jerusalem, and more specifically the temple, as the Faithful King, the true Son of David. Jesus’ actions on this day and the days that would follow would be purposeful, confrontational, enigmatic, and full of peace. As a result our lives and the world would never again be the same.

Celebration Palm Sunday Worship
Celebration is one of three worshipping communities that comprise Harderwyk Ministries in Holland, MI. Dr William Lindner serves as Campus Pastor. With a "vibrantly classic" worship style marked by strong congregational singing and organ, Celebration encourages everyone to join in the journey of faith by being found in, formed by and following Jesus.
This Week's Sermon Information:
Sermon: There's A New King In Town
Text: Matthew 21:1-13
Key Verse: Matthew 21:10 - The entire city of Jerusalem was in an uproar as Jesus entered. “Who is this?” the people asked.
Sermon Snapshot: The tension begins to rise as this Rural Rabbi rides a donkey into the seat of local power. Is this REALLY a new king in town? And what does that mean for every other person, institution or fear that claims power in our life today?

This week at Fusion:
Lost and Unaware
Judges 2: 6-15
This week we continue our Lenten sermon series titled, "Fragile Faith; Faithful God." It has been a fun journey through the scriptures, considering the brokenness of God's covenant people and the faithfulness of God as we fix our eyes on the cross of Jesus. This morning, we will consider the life of Joshua, who led the people into the Promised Land after Moses' death. What we find is that Joshua lived a faithful life, and yet after his death, everything fell apart. What happened? Could Joshua have done something different? What can we learn from Joshua's example and the failure of the people of Israel? Oh, and we will consider how Jesus fits into all this! Join us as we explore these questions and more this Sunday.

Celebration Afterthought
Join Pastor Bill in the Room 21 of the Lower Level for a sermon discussion each Sunday following the Celebration service.
Any question is fair game, but growing out of this Sermon we can start with:
How was Joshua prepared to lead by training with Moses?
How does this compare with how leaders are trained today?
Consider this phrase: Authentic Faith is more "caught," than "taught"?
What does it mean to think of the "Wars of Conquest" that Josua lead as a "singularity"?
What does it mean to see "The Judges Cycle" as A Cycle of Rescue/Redemmption rather than a Cycle of Decline/Judgement?
What do we learn about Jesus and the Gospel of His Grace from the life of Joshua?

Watershed is one of three worshipping communities that comprise Harderwyk Ministries in Holland, MI. Rev. Aaron VanDerVeen serves as Campus Pastor. With a guitar-led modern worship style, Watershed encourages everyone to join in the journey of faith by being found in, formed by and following Jesus.
This week at Watershed:
Fragile Faith, Faithful God
Judges 2
The young nation of Israel would follow Yahweh faithfully under the leadership of Joshua and the elders, but after this generation would pass, a cycle would ensue that would show how fragile and fickle human faith can really be. The good news is that we will also see in this cycle how faithful God remains.

Celebration Sunday Worship
Celebration is one of three worshipping communities that comprise Harderwyk Ministries in Holland, MI. Dr William Lindner serves as Campus Pastor. With a "vibrantly classic" worship style marked by strong congregational singing and organ, Celebration encourages everyone to join in the journey of faith by being found in, formed by and following Jesus.
This Week's Celebration Information:
Sermon: Who Fumbled the Ball?
Text: Judges 2:6–19
Key Verse: Judges 2:10 - After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the LORD or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.
Sermon Snapshot: The time has come for Israel – this new generation of Israel, remember – to enter the Promised Land and for that moment the LORD has raised up a new leader. All looks well with the transfer of leadership from Moses to Joshua, who then leads the nation into the land. But after Joshua’s career and death, there comes a generation that neither knew the LORD nor what He had done for Israel.” Did something go wrong over time? What can we learn about passing our faith on to those who follow after us?
