Practicing the Way 8-week Course
Two-thousand years ago, Jesus invited his first disciples to “Come and Follow me.” But what does it mean to follow Jesus today in our busy, digitally distracted and increasingly secular world? What would it look like to center and organize our lives more intentionally in and around Jesus Christ? Is this even possible today?
Absolutely.
This is why we are running the Practicing the Way Course this Fall. The Practicing the Way Course features eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. The Course is the on-ramp to the Spiritual Practices with the encouragement of others in community.
We will provide each participant with a printed copy of the Companion Guide.
Ordering the “Practicing the Way” book by John Mark Comer is recommended (limited copies available from church).
Whether you are eager or just curious this course is for you.

Then as we gather, we will start the conversation with the question: "What did you underline from the previous week's readings?" - while enjoying breakfast together. Celebration Campus Pastor Bill Lindner will facilitate.

Grief Share
After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives. But your grief continues, and you feel alone. We invite you to join GriefShare, a friendly caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. In this 12-week class, we listen to others (video experts and testimonies); we listen to each other (sharing in small groups about how we can GROW forward); and we listen to God (guided by scriptures/workbook). Let us walk together through grief toward healing and hope for the future. A light brunch will be provided. Cost $20 per person (workbook).

This week at Fusion:
Joy in Freedom
Luke 4: 16-21
This week we continue our Advent journey that leads us toward Christmas with our "Good News of Great Joy" sermon series. Advent is a season of waiting for the promised Messiah, Jesus. This year we are using Jesus' announcement of his public ministry found in Luke 4: 18-19 when he quotes from Isaiah 61. This week we focus on the phrase "freedom for the prisoner... to set the oppressed free." What is this freedom Jesus proclaims? What holds people in bondage? How has Jesus come to set us free? Join us as we explore these questions and more.
Watershed Sunday Worship
Watershed is one of three worshipping communities that comprise Harderwyk Ministries in Holland, MI.
Rev. Aaron VanDerVeen serves as Campus Pastor. With a guitar-led modern worship style, Watershed encourages everyone to join in the journey of faith by being found in, formed by and following Jesus.
This week at Watershed:
Freedom for the Prisoners
Luke 4:14-21
Sin creates prisons in our lives that leave us with regrets, shame, experiencing brokenness in our relationships and disconnect with God. In Jesus, freedom and salvation has come into a sin-filled world in order to offer us new life.
Celebration Sunday Worship
Celebration is one of three worshipping communities that comprise Harderwyk Ministries in Holland, MI.
Dr William Lindner serves as Campus Pastor. With a "vibrantly classic" worship style marked by strong congregational singing and organ, Celebration encourages everyone to join in the journey of faith by being found in, formed by and following Jesus.
Communion Sunday
We do not come to this supper claiming any merit in ourselves. On the contrary, we come testifying that we seek our salvation apart from ourselves and instead, in Jesus Christ.
This Week's Sermon Information:
Sermon: For Those Who Lost the Battle
Text: Luke 4:16–21
Key Verse: Key Verse: Luke 4:18 – “He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners”

Lord Make Us Servants Of Your Peace
