We are a diverse group of women - some mothers, some not; some working outside the home, some not; some married, some not. What unites us is our desire to take a break in our week, gather together for fellowship, studying the Bible, prayer, and supporting one another. Come and join us if you’re looking for a group of women who are authentic, genuine, kind, and supportive!

Two-thousand years ago, Jesus invited his first disciples to “Come and Follow me.” But what does it mean to follow Jesus today in our busy, digitally distracted and increasingly secular world? What would it look like to center and organize our lives more intentionally in and around Jesus Christ? Is this even possible today?
Absolutely.
This is why we are running the Practicing the Way Course this Fall. The Practicing the Way Course features eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. The Course is the on-ramp to the Spiritual Practices with the encouragement of others in community.
We will provide each participant with a printed copy of the Companion Guide.
Ordering the “Practicing the Way”book by John Mark Comer is recommended (limited copies available from church).
Whether you are eager or just curious this course is for you.

Healing from loss is a journey
Everyone experiences grief differently
There’s no “right way” to grieve
Feeling angry or full of regret? Are you depressed and wondering how to heal? Do you walk around in a mental fog? All this is normal. And while your grief journey is unique, you’ll find many grieving people are facing the same struggles. And others who’ve gone before you can help.
Grief cannot be rushed
You may wish you could bypass the difficult emotions or push down the pain. Or maybe others are pressuring you to “get up and move on.” But healing from grief and loss requires you to go through your grief. We have resources that can help you find relief and stability.
Finding support is crucial
Grief is a journey that shouldn’t be traveled alone. You may feel like no one understands and be tempted to isolate, but as counselor David Bueno Martin says, “Healing happens in the context of finding others who can help you.” A GriefShare group is a safe place to find support.

Join us for an engaging hour delving into the heart of a book, with a different member leading the discussion each month. Titles are solicited each spring for the next year’s list and selected by popular vote each May; they include both fiction and nonfiction, Christian and secular. The list for the 2024-25 titles is in the library by the check-out shelf. Readers occasionally contribute snacks.

Watershed Worship Arts is a team that works together, each bringing their time and talents to honor God with authentic worship, and at the same time blessing the church with the gift of song. We want to love and lead our people in life-changing worship, and we want to esteem God’s name with our whole being. This is our goal each weekend.
Primarily, this is done through serving the church with voice, drums, bass, electric guitar, keys, and modeling expressive postures of worship through contemporary song. Whatever your gift is, we want to see people use these to give God all the glory.
We know that God designed music as a powerful language to speak to and connect with people deeply. Through worship songs, we interact with the power and presence of a Living God. Sometimes people meet Jesus for the first time through our worship songs, or perhaps follow him closer, experience His presence in unique ways, or understand the Scriptures better and change their life by living out their faith.
We get to play a unique role in this each weekend when we serve! We aim to give God or best. Being part of the team is a commitment to spending time learning the music, sharpening your skills, learning new abilities, coming to rehearsals, working on building community with others, and bringing your best at our gatherings – all a humble response to what He’s done for us. Sundays aren’t just a church service, but a time to center our hearts and focus on God, His story, and how He’s working in each of us today.
We understand it takes a lot of work—but it’s also a lot of fun! No matter where you are on your journey of faith, we have a place for you. You might even be new to the whole “church” thing and that’s okay! We’re glad you’re here and we’re excited to see you considering blessing Watershed with your time and talents.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, let’s get in touch!
