grief share

Wednesdays February 16 – May 11, 2022

6:00 – 7:30 pm

RBB Music Room

After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you feel alone. We invite you to join GriefShare, a friendly caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. In this 12 -week class, we listen to others (video experts and testimonies); we listen to each other (sharing in small groups about how we can GROW forward); and we listen to God (guided by scriptures/workbook). Let us walk together through grief toward healing and hope for the future. A light supper will be provided. Cost $15 (workbook). Contact Pastor Mary to pre-register or complete the sign up form.

Scandalous grace

parables discussion group

Book: "Scandalous Stories" by Daniel Emery Price and Erick Sorensen

Facilitator: Pastor JB

Starting in January 12 we begin a new sermon series we are calling "Scandalous Grace" where we will study the parables of Jesus. We will be using the book "Scandalous Stories" by Price and Sorensen as our guide (books available in the office). Each week we will consider a different parable. On Wednesday Nights (6:00 -7:30 pm) during Community Night we will gather for some open discussion on the parable from Sunday. This will be a chance for us to ask additional questions and dig deeper into the context but also we will consider how this story Jesus tells intersects and informs our own lives. All our welcome to drop in and contribute or just listen in.
