Vice Chair
I have attended Harderwyk my entire life. My husband Joe and I were on the original launch team for Watershed and have significantly invested in the ministry there. I've participated in the ministries at Harderwyk in many ways, including as a member of the Watershed Vision Team, children's ministries volunteer, Benevolence Deacon, and Neighbor's Plus Board Member. I currently also participate in the Watershed worship band.
I've been married to my husband, Joe, for twenty years. We have two daughters, Paige and Avery, who attend Holland Christian High School. Professionally, I lead a communications team for several family foundations in Grand Rapids.
God has been faithful to Harderwyk Ministries over the last several decades. It has been meaningful to see the fruit from the relationships the church has cultivated in the community that we are called to serve. I look forward to playing my part in God's plan into the future.

Joe Nowicki
Treasurer
Joe Nowicki lives in Holland with his wife, Tammy. They have three grown children. All three are married, two live in West Michigan (Dan and his wife Jess, Megan and her husband Jake) and one lives in Florida (Matt and his wife Megan). Joe and Tammy also have two grandchildren, Hannah who is 4, and Madeleine who just turned 1. Joe recently retired and moved back to Holland and now spends his time volunteering, traveling / outdoor adventures, and spending time with family. He also serves on two boards to keep him busy (LL Flooring – Lumber Liquidators, and Unifirst). He received a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Canisius College in Buffalo and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. His career spanned over 30 years in various financial roles from public accounting through financial leadership roles in companies like IBM, Herman Miller, Spartan Chassis, and Beacon Building Products. Through most of his career Joe made time to volunteer at church functions, his children’s sports teams, and other non-profit organizations like Kandu of Holland. Joe looks forward to continue to serve Harderwyk as his skills allow – he will also be serving on the 2022 Mission trip to Honduras.

Nicole Prins
Secretary
My husband, Derek, and I have been attending Harderwyk for more than 17 years. Our children have grown up here, have been baptized, and participated in many events. I have been involved mainly in children’s ministry as I quickly gravitate to children. I have taught Sunday School, been the Preschool Head Teacher, along with participating in the Harderwyk Kids program on Wednesday nights, was a leader and the director of GEMS, a volunteer at the Function, and was involved in Women’s ministry. Community is important to us, so our family has tried to get the Harderwyk community together here at church by camping overnight, or just having meals together.
It has been a great opportunity to be involved in council as the secretary because I understand what goes on behind the scenes (support, concerns, the excitement and struggles of each ministry here), but also to get to know others in all three worship communities, and know that we are here to support one another, support the church as a whole; and support you. Community is important; journey together, don’t do life on your own.

Luke Joyce
Social Justice Deacon
I am a follower of Jesus, a husband and a father. I am also working full time and in a 2 year program to become a spiritual director. I have a full plate, but it is full of great things. I have been attending Harderwyk for about 10 years. I am currently serving as the Deacon of Social Justice and reconciliation. What I like best about this role is working with the others on council as we seek to serve our larger community, getting the chance to build community with one another. I have also held positions on other teams at Harderwyk including the Watershed Prayer Team and the Honduras Mission Team. I have a passion for Honduras, where our family lived for a couple of years. Whenever God has asked me to serve others, I have seen the way he used those opportunities to draw me closer to himself and I expect those opportunities to continue through working with the Harderwyk Council.
My favorite bible verse is Psalm 121.

Linda Guerink
Shepherding Elder
I am a daughter of the King of Kings and am blessed to work for Him. I am a widow with 4kids, 2 married, and 4 grand babies. I like to sew and help my brother with farmers market. I help with a ministry named PRMI where I help with conferences and prayer ministry.
One of my favorite verses that I have loved for a long time is 2 Cor. 10:3-6. It says to take every thought captive and turn it over to the obedience of Jesus Christ. I have found it to be effect in keeping me focused.
I am the congregational care elder for harderwyk ministries. I am behind the scene most of the time praying for you all.

Todd Boss
Children and Youth Elder
I'm currently serving as the Children and Youth Elder, and I love working with the children to help them learn about God and his Creation. I am blessed to be able to spend time working with each of our youth programs.
I have attended Harderwyk since 2008, and I am part of the Watershed community along with my wife Jenny and children Norah and Xander. In the past, I have served Harderwyk as a Cadet leader, and I am also currently serving as a sound tech at Watershed.
I am the Director of Information Technology at Bradford Company. I also enjoy volunteering with Ottawa County Emergency Communications and the Holland Amateur Radio Club, where we provide emergency communications for local events including the Tulip Time parades and the Park2Park 1/2 Marathon.
My favorite bible verses are:
Philippians 3:7-14
Matthew 6:25-33
Proverbs 22:6
Philippians 4:4-7

Mandy Laninga
Benevolence Deacon
My husband Richard and I have been married for 20 years and we have a 15 year old, Olivia and a 14 year old, Eli. Our family loves to be outside staying active whether it is skiing/snowboarding in the winter, hiking in the summer, coaching our kids at Cross Country and track meets or just spending a day at the beach. We have been attending Harderwyk for about five years and felt very welcomed from our first visit. Our family enjoys serving our Fusion community in whatever way we can from setting up the donuts and coffee, serving communion, doing the check-in station, helping in nursery or sitting in the sound booth. My kids have gone to GEMS and Cadets and now enjoy being part of the youth groups. I serve as the Benevolence Deacon on council and love being part of the process of helping out our neighbors in need. I would like to end by sharing my favorite verse from 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!"
