Student ministries

Our Student Ministries offers programs for students 6th through 12th grade.  

There are many opportunities for your student to get involved all year.  

Our Student Ministries programs meet in our Anchor building on the Harderwyk Campus.

During the winter we follow the West Ottawa School snow days.  

If there is a snow day for the West Ottawa schools, all of our activities will be cancelled for that day also.

  • Open Anchor

    Each week we open our doors to all students grades 6th through 12th.  We provide a safe environment for students, each student must check in and check out.  Recreation, games, "family chats", dinner, a place for homework, and supervised after school experience with trained staff are available.  Each student will be required to follow the established rules and guidelines.  This is a drop in style ministry for students to stop in, hang out and build Christ centered relationships with other students and staff.  Open gym and other activities are available. 

    • School year hours:  Tuesday and Thursdays 3:00-8:00p
    • Summer hours: Wednesday's 12:00-5:00p
    • Summers, Friday:  FREE lunch at the State Park 12:00-3:00p

  • Undertow

    Starts in September

    Messy Night - date TBA

    For students ages 6th through 8th grade.

    Our undertow program meets on weekly on Wednesdays with our other community night activities from September through April.  During community night we offer dinner and programming for kids nursery through adults.

  • High Tide

    For students 9th through 12 grade.

    Our High Tide program meets on Monday evenings 6:30-8:30 from September through April.  They meet in our Anchor building, which is also our youth building.

  • The Function - currently on hold until further notice

    Once a month we invite all area middle school students, grades 7th and 8th, to our Harderwyk campus in our Anchor building.  Here we offer a safe place for the kids to congregate with chaperones and many activities.  For details on activities, rules and dates, click on the logo.

  • Anchor Basketball

    In the winter we offer an opportunity for students 9th through 12th grade to try out for our Lakeshore Holland Basketball Team.   For more details about this team, contact Nate.
