Harderwyk is made up of 3 unique worshiping communities. They are all unique in their own style but share one mission under Harderwyk Ministries.
Harderwyk Mission Statement:
Reaching the Lakeshore and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by forming disciples and equipping leaders.
Celebration Sunday Worship Service
The Celebration community meets in the Sanctuary in the red brick building on Sunday at 9:00 am. This is a very classical kind of worship service with a pipe organ and hymns. On several occasions through out the year you can enjoy choir, bell choir, brass and string instruments. Dress is anywhere from suit coat and tie to dress casual. Celebration is a very welcoming community, you can expect to be greeted by other members. Within Celebration there are opportunities to support other Harderwyk missions and programs through donations and volunteering. The service starts out with weekly announcements, followed by a couple hymns. An offering plate (during the pandemic the offering plate is available at the entrance to the sanctuary) is passed and then the Pastor will preach from the Bible. We close the service with some hymns and gathering over coffee and donuts (all coffee and donuts are on hold during the pandemic). Nursery is available during the entire worship service and children ages preschool through 3rd grade will be dismissed to their Sunday School classes during the service (all nursery and Sunday school classes are on hold at this time, we are hoping to begin offering nursery and classes through Kindergarten on September 6, 2020).
Fusion Sunday Worship Service
The Fusion community meets on Sunday mornings in the Great Room in the red brick building at 10:30 am. This is a more contemporary style of worship with a band including drums and electric guitars. On a Sunday you may hear a traditional hymn or contemporary music. Dress is anywhere from dress casual to casual. Before and during the Fusion service there are coffee and donuts (all coffee and donuts are on hold during the pandemic) available, feel free to help yourself. During the service there is an offering plate (the plates will not be passed during the pandemic - there are offering plates at the entrance of the service for your Sunday offering. There are also several online and text to give options) passed followed by Biblical preaching and ending with worship songs and community gathering over coffee and donuts (all refreshment items are on hold during the pandemic). Fusion offers folks many opportunities to get involved in the many ministries available at Harderwyk. Nursery is available during the entire service and children ages preschool through 3rd grade will be dismissed to their Sunday School classes during the service. (all nursery and Sunday school classes are on hold at this time, we are hoping to begin offering nursery and classes through Kindergarten on September 6, 2020).
Watershed Sunday Worship Service
The Watershed community meets on Sunday mornings in the Anchor gym at 9:45 am.
Watershed is a community that believes that whoever you are, wherever you are, in Christ, you matter, you are loved and you belong. We are a community made up of people who may be skeptical of church, searching for a place to belong, or just looking for a community to grow in. You can expect to hear energetic worship with several songs and hear relevant preaching from the pastor. Slip in and slip out of the service if you prefer, but know you are welcome to hang out and meet others. Watershed strives to be a welcoming community and our staff would enjoy meeting you and learning more about you. Please dress how you feel comfortable, let your kids be kids, and enjoy coffee and treats before and during the services (all coffee and treats are on hold during the pandemic). An offering is not passed during the services. However, offering boxes are at the entrances to the gym, and electronic giving options are available. Nursery is available during the entire service and children ages preschool through 3rd grade will be dismissed to their Sunday School classes during the service. (all nursery and Sunday school classes are on hold at this time, we are hoping to begin offering nursery and classes through Kindergarten on September 6, 2020).
We would love to have you join us.
